The mission of The PanAfrican Acupuncture Project (PAAP) is to train local healthcare providers in African countries how to use simple and effective acupuncture techniques to help manage common symptoms and to improve the quality of life of individuals affected by HIV/AIDS, malaria, and tuberculosis.

%newline%Volunteer acupuncturists from around the world travel to host African countries to act as Trainers. Since 2003, 26 individual Trainers have helped to train 160 health providers in Uganda and Kenya, and these Trainees, empowered with their new skills, have provided thousands of acupuncture treatments.

%newline%Working alongside conventional medicine, the treatments reduce and suffering, improve quality of life, and help to instill a greater sens of hope.
