A community fund committed to improving the quality of life and increasing alternatives available to all underserved individuals and communities. Education, health, violence reduction, increased cultural awareness, exposure to the arts and increased self sufficiency and self-determination are among our objectives. Our administrative or overhead percentage is 5.1, and the average number of individuals served per year over the over the past five years is over 850,000. The fund has distributed over $1,500,000 in designated payroll/workplace designated funds or grants and holds an annual banquet or reception honoring outstanding accomplishments. Ask your employer about making contributions through payroll deduction or go to www.ga-buf.org to support our efforts. Several of our service offerings are unique to the communities they serve, and support families including those with physically or mentally challenged individual members requiring around the clock care.(more)
